Nicole L. Carista

Dr. Carista joined the LVAH team in June of 2014. She grew up in Constantia, NY, and started her veterinary career in 2002 as a kennel attendant at Brewerton Veterinary Clinic. After graduating from high school she attended SUNY Canton and earned an Associate's degree in Veterinary Science. She continued her education at Binghamton University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in biology. Dr. Carista worked as a Veterinary Technician at LVAH from June 2008 until December 2008. She then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts, where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She returned to the states and began working as a mixed animal veterinarian in July 2012 until June 2014 when she rejoined the LVAH team. Dr. Carista currently lives with her island dog Hugo, 3 legged dog Zieme, and opinionated pooch Lily. She enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, reading, and working with Oswego County Humane Society. Dr. Carista is excited to be back at LVAH where she enjoyed working in the past and looks forward to the future.
