Our Veterinarians
Our staff is committed to providing the best service to you and the best care for your pets. This commitment can be seen in every aspect of our hospital from the friendly and knowledgeable reception staff to the high quality nursing staff who are exclusively NYS Licensed Veterinary Technicians. The kennel staff is comprised of individuals who enjoy making your pet's stay in the hospital comfortable and relaxing. Our Veterinarians always have time to educate you about the care of your pet and help you understand any health problems they may have. Our doctors continue to learn through continuing education and enjoy passing on that knowledge to you and to the community through involvement with schools, churches, Boy and Girl Scouts, the local public television station WCNY, and the New York State Fair.
Dr. Douglas E. Wojcik, D.V.M.
Dr. Wojcik is the proud owner of Liverpool Village Animal Hospital. He started working at LVAH in 1988 as a receptionist/kennel worker! He earned his BS in Biology at Cornell University in 1991 and went on to earn his DVM at the University of Minnesota in 1994.
He came back to LVAH in 1994 to work as an associate veterinarian and became the owner/director in 1998. He really worked his way up!
Dr. W, as the staff calls him, was born in Wheeling, WV. He moved to Liverpool, NY when he was seven and has lived in the area ever since. He enjoys hiking, swimming, home improvements, and model trains. His major enjoyment, however, comes from spending his free time with his family.
Dr. Wojcik likes having the ability to practice state-of-the-art veterinary medicine at LVAH in a family atmosphere.
Dr. Wojcik lives with his wife, Brenda, their son, Devin, and daughter, Sophia. They are joined by their doberman, Gretta.
Dr. Kay S. Lin, D.V.M.
Dr. Lin has been with Liverpool Village Animal Hospital for 26 years. A native of New York City (the Bronx to be exact), she came to the area via the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Her love of people and animals comes through in her interaction between staff, clients, and pets. She loves to work with dogs, cats, birds, small furry (guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, rats, ferrets, etc) and unfurry (snakes, lizards, turtles, etc) creatures. The best part of her job is getting to know the pets and their people.
Her hobbies include traveling (especially internationally), boating on the St. Lawrence River, reading mysteries, cooking (in order to eat!) and keeping up with her Chinese.
Dr. Lin is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Central New York Veterinary Medical Society, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians.
Dr. Lin's family of six includes her husband and two children, a Senegal parrot, Pi-Jio, a guinea pig, Prudy, and an aquatic frog, Cody.
Dr. Tammy H. Hendrick, D.V.M.
Dr. Hendrick has been an associate of LVAH since 1984, shortly after she graduated from Purdue University Veterinary School. Dr. Hendrick was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana and moved here to New York after she graduated 1984. She is a very compassionate, dedicated, respected and trusted doctor of veterinary medicine. We are proud to have her on our team.
Dr. H, as she is called by staff members, loves the out of doors. Skiing, hiking, and kayaking are among her favorite hobbies. She loves to read and eating chocolate is high on her list of enjoyments (especially M&M's)!
She likes working at LVAH because of the people (staff and clients alike), but especially the pets. Besides treating cats and dogs, Dr. H enjoys treating pocket pets such as guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice, as well as rabbits and ferrets. The hardest thing for her is giving clients bad news.
Dr. Hendrick receives her greatest source of satisfaction through her belief in Jesus.
Dr. H has an adorable terrier/beagle mix named Raisin, who is very lovable and a lot of fun for her and her husband.
Dr. Kristen M. Russell, D.V.M.
Dr. Russell joined our team in June 2006. She earned her BS in Animal Science in 2002 and went on to earn her DVM from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2006. She was born and raised near Utica, NY. Dr. Russell is a tremendous asset to our veterinary staff.
When not at work, Dr. Russell enjoys riding horses, fishing, and camping. She and her husband spend most of their free time working on their hobby farm.
Dr. Russell decided to practice with us for a few reasons. She liked the friendly staff, the pleasant environment, and the up-to-date technology we have to offer.
Dr. Russell lives with her husband, Aaron, their golden retriever, Nikki, and their labrador retriever, Gracie. She also spends time with her Quarter horses, cattle, and barn cat,
Yoda.
Dr. Nicole K. Jordan, D.V.M.
Dr. Jordan is the most recent addition to the doctors at LVAH, but not a new addition to the practice. She started at LVAH in 2002 as a kennel worker and receptionist, and recently returned to the practice as a doctor. Dr. Jordan decided to return to the practice because of the excellent relationship she had formed with the entire staff and the high quality medicine an AAHA certified hospital had to offer.
Born and raised in Liverpool, NY, Dr. Jordan attended Syracuse University where she received her BS degree in Biology in 2003. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Georges University Veterinary School on the sunny island of Grenada, and looks forward to returning to the island in the future.
Besides treating cats and dogs at LVAH, Dr. Jordan enjoys seeing exotics as well (rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, snakes, lizards, turtles, etc).
Dr. Jordan enjoys spending time with her husband, their two cats from Grenada (RJ and Luna), two rescued boston terriers (Kenzie and Diesel) and cornsnake (Sammy). She also enjoys hiking, camping and traveling in her spare time.
